adventures in sewing: tunic.

For the past few weeks, I've been sewing and stitching away. On top of final projects for class and after the busiest at work I've ever been (ever.), it's the perfect release. Just hours before a baby shower, I finished the binding on a baby quilt for Christina and baby-on-the-way Josie. I forgot to take pictures...

I stitched a little tea towel in thanks for our wonderful Supper Group host, whose house we had met for the past 8 weeks.

The past two weekends, I ventured into sewing clothes. I took a tunic class at The Fancy Tiger and I learned a lot. Here's an example of the tunic:

It was anyone's guess as to the directions, but the lovely Christina helped us to cut, alter and fit our tunics! I'll post pictures when I'm done with alterations, but I'm so excited to actually wear something I made.

After class was over on Saturday, I felt so inspired I bought a pattern for my next clothing attempt: The Empire Evening Dress from Anna Maria Horner (option c will be the first attempt)
