So we don't have our TV hooked up to cable/satellite/antennae but if we did, I'd make a point to watch a few shows, including Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. I was a huge fan when he was on SNL, but from the clips I've seen of his show, I think it's a pretty good program. Here's some incredible clips:

If only we could have DMB add Colorado to their tour line-up this summer...

clinton kelly.
Yep. Clinton Kelly, one-half of the What Not to Wear duo, was here in Denver today and my mom and I didn't waste anytime getting our RSVP in for Macy's Makeover America. There was a huge turnout, but we got there with enough time to get great seats 3 rows behind the runway. He styled 15 ladies from the Denver Area and they were all incredible.
Seriously, he's the greatest!
the weekenders
A few weekends ago, we flew out to San Jose for a very quick trip to go to Taylor's graduation party. We figured we could make it out there for a weekend rather than her actual graduation that would be during the week. It was a great trip and we definitely made the most of our little bit of time there. This of course including a lunch and In-N-Out!
Taylor and I went to work before her party - frosting cupcakes and making some muddy buddies. We had fun making outrageous colors of frosting and attaching random assortments of sprinkles on top. I think they turned out to be quite unique looking!
Congrats Tay! We're super excited for you to start at SPU in the Fall and know that you are going to do amazing things up there! Hopefully we'll make it back up to the Emerald City to see this girl dominate on the soccer field.
Me and Tay before Bocce Ball
we're 25.
Within 13 days of Kalin's birthday, I too turned the big 2-5. So, there you have it world, us two are 25. And that's all I have to say about that, except really, we're 25?

hey brother...
This is Kyle. Kyle Lundquist. Brother-in-law to me and brother to Kalin.
I talked to Kyle this last weekend and he mentioned that he hadn't been mentioned in our blog yet. I thought maybe he hadn't looked through our archives. But I was wrong - no where on this blog does it mention Kyle and even other family members that we love dearly. So Kyle, without further ado, we recognize and dedicate one whole blog to you!
Kyle Lundquist is 20 years old. He is going into his Junior year at Biola University where he will be a RA in Emerson. Oddly enough, Kalin, during his Junior year at Westmont was a RA in a dorm called Emerson. Kyle is an all-star in college - actively involved, especially with the intramural leagues where his team, The Pokemasters, have destroyed other teams in multiple sports.
Kyle has just returned from Europe and we just missed him when we were in San Jose. But he's back and I have to admit, he's an AMAZING photographer. Below are some pictures of Kyle or one's that he took.

From Greece, Kyle writes: "a picture of an old Greek grandpa, because being an old grandpa with no job would be awesome." Perhaps Kyle would like to be Greek as well...

One of Kyle's favorite things are clouds and sunsets. Perhaps also, long walks on the beach....

Hmm. I don't remember where I took this, but this must speak to something about Kyle.

This is Kyle's group that went to Malawi for a few weeks.

Two of Kyle's favorites: mud and soccer.

As true with the majority of the Lundquists, they like sleeping. Kyle is no exception.

One of the Intramurals that the Pokemasters compete is Ultimate.

Kyle also enjoys fire.

From Kyle: "a picture of me with a nasty beard (mom didn't like it)."
So there you have it blogosphere: Kyle Lundquist. Kalin and I love Kyle and wish we got to spend more time with him. I enjoy having him for a brother and we're definitely excited to see where this life takes him!
Love you Kyle!

update.
Many apologies for the no-post month of May! Perhaps I felt that there was nothing to blog about. But there was, oh well. So, here's a little recap: May is a month filled with lot's of people's birthdays and Mother's Day. We had some sort of celebration about every weekend, which is always nice.

I made some delicious Sprinkles Red Velvet cupcakes for Mother's Day. They were scrumptulescent - I highly recommend forking out the dough at Williams-Sonoma for the mix, you will not be let down.
This past weekend we celebrated Kalin's 25! It was an all-around fabulous weekend. Kalin's friend since he was just a little kid, Derek, came out for the weekend. We had a great BBQ on Saturday with great friends and good food.
There was even a Saturday in May that Kalin, Mochi, and I all got haircuts. Even though Kalin would be a contender for the most hair cut, I think Mochi wins. Here's a before and aftern:
This is even 2 weeks after the trim - turned shave. He literally went from furry puppy to old, skinny man within an hour. I felt like such a bad pet owner. We had let his hair (not fur, he doesn't shed) get too long and matted, that they had no other choice but to shave it. Poor little guy. All his black baby hair disappeared and he's all grey!
We're excited for the beginning of Summer and I'm enjoying all the plants that keep coming to life here. It's also a bit fun to find out what the previous owner was planting as the buds start opening up. We've got a bit of yard work ahead of us, so that will be something to post on later.
