its been awhile

so, yet again, a list in summary:
  • just finished my first class of the semester, Internet Marketing.
  • so fortunate to have been involved with the Horseshoe Craft & Flea Market!
  • finally had my biked tuned up and I'm riding somewhat often to work and around town.
  • bought my first pair of boots (that fit my small calves & large feet).
  • kayla and her bf came to town. they both call the bathroom the washroom and that just makes more sense.
  • i never thought purchasing cellular shades for our house would make me so happy and feel accomplished.
  • cancelled most of our ridiculous amount of cable channels. this is in hopes that it will help my procrastination problem.
  • i want to start buying Christmas presents now!
that's a mini-update. hopefully i'll be more blog-inspired soon!

blincow no more

We'll all admit it - Blincow, my maiden name, is easily one of the most mis-pronounced last names to ever exist. It's blen-co, if you're wondering. So, of the four Blincow girl cousins, one more entered entered into wedded bliss and is a Blincow no more and hopefully with a new last name people can say correctly! I was so honored to be in the bridal party and loved being able to share this day with such a lovely cousin and a new cousin-in-law.

the beautiful cousin, Ashly!

After the ceremony, we all danced the night away, including my dad and his brother (aka the father of the bride): yep. this is where us Blincow girls derive from. OH MY!

some wild and crazy guys

for the love of fonts.

I love the movie, Helvetica. Absolutely love it, and my cousin thinks that I'm a fool for making it through the whole movie. I can't help it, I equally love fonts (minus Chicago, Comic Sans and a few others). Fonts and typography are very powerful in relaying messages and evoking emotions. This is a fun little video on typography and it makes me super happy. sans serif .
