tay-tay

This weekend, we made the trip down to Tacoma on Fri, Sat and Sun to watch four soccer games of Kalin's sister, Taylor.  She was playing with her relatively-new club team which also played up here last year.  We feel quite lucky that she has been up for some soccer while we've lived up here--it is amazing to watch her in action.  Kalin and I agreed that no one gets past Taylor--she's a stud, but amazingly humble when we praised her about her incredible ability.  She'll definitely be an asset to whichever college team she plays for.  But more than soccer, we just loved that she was here, that we were able to spend some time together, share some meals...that good quality time.

I learned a bit more about soccer as each of the games went on--rules, positions, etc.  My brief stint at first grade soccer didn't pan out, and I don't remember a thing, except we were the Unicorns and we never scored a goal.

But anyways...Kalin's Auntie Christine came down to watch on Saturday and she is such a treat to be around and to talk to.  We missed going to her house for Easter since she was sick, which didn't let up for about 7 weeks!  So, we were happy she was well and able to spend the day with us.

p.s. today is one month from our last days at our jobs up here in Seattle--then it's on to our California adventure!
